After a peace deal between the U.S. and Iran was reached, Israel under orders from Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu launched new attacks on Iranian backed forces in Lebanon. This resulted in Iran seeking once again to close the Strait of Hormuz and the Trump Administration scrambling for renewed diplomacy, sending Vice President J.D. Vance to Switzerland to try to rescue the peace deal. In my opinion, Netanyahu's vision for the Middle East is unending war and is not truly aligned with U.S. interests.
